Home & School Association

This page was updated on January 6, 2010.

St. Joseph School Home and School Association is the very visible and vibrant parents association of the school. It was organized with a three-fold purpose:

1. to promote communication, good will, and cooperation among parents, faculty, administration, school board, and the parish of St. Joseph School, and

2. to provide leadership and coordination of activities for the purpose of service, special functions, educational programs, and/or fund-raising, and

3. to foster the political action of parents as advocates regarding national, state, and local legislation that affects Catholic schools as well as the lives of students and parents.

All parents and faculty of St. Joseph School are members of the Home and School Association.

The 2009-2010 officers of the Home and School are:
George Waddell - president
John Ryals - vice president
Crystal Smith - treasurer
Cherrie Escude - recording secretary
Theresa Tumulty - corresponding secretary
Kristy Wisecarver - historian
Vincent D'Antoni - sergeant-at-arms.

Notes from George

Dear SJS Parents,

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s Celebration. This was an opportunity to get a much needed break and recharge our batteries.

Before the break, we had our first Father/Daughter dance. It was well attended, and everyone had a great time. All the young ladies really enjoyed dancing and socializing in a fun and wholesome atmosphere. Much needed funds were raised towards the purchase of another Star Board.

Also, if you are interested in joining the Spring Fair Committee, our next meeting will be held on Monday, Jan. 11th, at 6:30 pm in the library. These meetings are open to anyone wishing to get involved with our Spring Fair. This year, the fair will be held on March 19, 20, 21. Look for more information to come out soon.

Thanks, and see you around the campus,

- George Waddell, President SJS H&S
