Psalm 66

R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

Shout joyfully to God, all the earth,
sing praise to the glory of his name;
proclaim his glorious praise.
Say to God, “How tremendous are your deeds!”

R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

“Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you,
sing praise to your name!”
Come and see the works of God,
his tremendous deeds among the children of Adam.

R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

He has changed the sea into dry land;
through the river they passed on foot;
therefore let us rejoice in him.
He rules by his might forever.

R. Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.

From the Principal

Dear Parents,

Those who missed the ceremony for the May Crowing can see pictures on the WEBSITE. It was a beautiful ceremony. A special thanks to Deacon Larry Melancon for leading us in prayer and to Mrs. Dyer for the planning the event. The three eighth grade girls who had the honor of crowning Mary were Courtney Balisteri, Gabrielle Gremillion, and Hannah Henderson. Second grade girls participated and were beautiful in their First Communion dresses.

Congratulations to Allie Amerson and Kade Bleakley for being chosen St. Joseph Athletes of the Year at the Athletic Awards Ceremony last evening. Mrs. Little has placedall the names of students who received special recognition in this newsletter. Special recognition should be given to the eighth grade girls for being the mainstay of the girls’ athletic teams for the past years. During the past three years, the girls have had three NIAL softball championships with undefeated teams the past two years. Two basketball NIAL championships and undefeated seasons with tournament first place finishes at Loranger Junior High, Ponchatoula Junior High, and an impressive first place finish at Mount Carmel Academy Junior High Tournament in New Orleans. Finally, they captured the NIAL Championship in volleyball this year.

A special thanks is offered to the coaches who spearheaded a successful athletic year: Shari Amerson, Stacy Bankston, Justin Berthelot, Elise Bishop, Jerod Breaux, Megan Dagro, Shelly Ernst, Kristi Gill, Kenny Kraft, Renee Laurent, Carrie Layrisson, Lauren Long, Sherman Mack, Brian Maggio, Kevin Raiford, Amanda Richard, Artie Thompson, Nick Vega, Bryce Vining, and Toni Waddell. Thanks for the many hours of time and energy expended for our student athletes.
.
Finally, The eighth graders had a wonderful trip. View the pictures on the website. Thank you to Mrs. Gaines for making all the arrangements for the various activities. Also thanks to faculty who accompanied the students on the trip, Mrs. Little, Mr. Hughes, Mrs. Gaines, and Mrs. Chiasson.
